Promote best practices, standards, and innovations in tunnelling and underground construction. Facilitate R&D in mechanised tunnelling, underground stations, caverns, and subsurface infrastructure, enhancing safety, quality, and durability.
Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship
Encourage environmentally sustainable design, construction, and operation, supporting underground solutions for transport, energy, water, and waste management while minimising ecological impact and surface disruption.
Planning & Infrastructure Integration
Promote integrated urban planning that uses underground space for transport corridors, parking, utilities, commercial, and public facilities, improving livability, resilience, and disaster preparedness in dense urban areas.
